How do you make TV watchable? Topple over a chair with ornamental apertures on its seat and wedge your oldTV set between its legs and behind the seat. Are you ready? Switch on your TV, preferably during primetime when the media hullabaloo is at its peak, and as if by magic it will suddenly become clear! It is as if you have installed a decoding device; you will now be able to sift through the media content and screen TV programes to distinguish the true from the false. The seat´s geometrical apertures deconstruct and hijack the images. Although unchanged, the sound becomes a mere superimposition and disconnects itself from its visual content. The hidden images reveal themselves in their abstraction; they take on new poetical meanings and reinvent this saturated and insubstantial TV medium.
